Mission Statement

Our mission is to inspire young people to be science and technology leaders, by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.

FIRST, which stands for "For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology",is an organization founded in 1989 by inventor Dean Kamen. The non-profit organization is based in a 15,000 square foot facility in Manchester, NH. It's goal is to inspire youth into developing an interest in participating in science and technology fields. It uses robotic competitions as a method to promote learning these kinds of skills. For more information see links below
