SAFETY PROGRAM

Safety is important to our team. All members and mentors are encourage to watch each other and give reminders, if they see any problems during shop time or at competitions. Before any member may use the tools they have to get 100% on all safety quizes and complete the safety training. Our training program has three parts: Shop rules, Machine specific and First aid. There is more information about each part below:

Shop Rules

• Power tools Institue Video - Power Tool Accidents - They can be prevented
• 2009 FIRST/NBT safety video
• 2010 FIRST/NBT safety video
• Shop rules quiz: First review the rules, then take the quiz to see if you can identify which rule each picture is about

Machine Specific

• Review safe operation for each machine.
• Machine specific files (Each file has three parts, review page, blank quiz sheet and answer key - Next year we hope to have these onlinie).
